Vital
A free/paid spectral warping wavetable synthesizer with a modern interface and powerful modulation system.
Vital is a wavetable synthesizer by Matt Tytel that disrupted the synth market by offering professional-grade synthesis for free (with paid tiers for additional wavetables and presets). It features spectral warping and morphing, 3 oscillators with independent wavetable positions, advanced modulation with visual routing, and a sleek modern interface. Vital's unique spectral warping modes (vocode, form scale, harmonic stretch) create sounds that are difficult to achieve in other synths. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, and supports VST, AU, and standalone modes. Many producers use Vital alongside or instead of Serum due to its powerful feature set and accessibility.
